The Denison, Texas, native shaved off a full second dating back to last season when she was 10th in the 200 fly at the NCAA Championships (1:53.25). It's the first podium finish at NCAAs in her Sun Devil career.

Earlier in the week, Looney earned Second-Team All-American honors when she placed 13th in the 500 free. She scored all 19 points for the Sun Devils this week.

The Sun Devils placed 27th in the final team standings. The Virginia Women won their third consecutive national championship, outpacing runner-up Texas and third-place Stanford.

MORNING PRELIMS
Looney turned in a terrific effort on Saturday morning in the 200 fly prelims, cruising to a fifth-place finish at 1:53.19. It's the second-fastest time in school history and just .51 off from her personal-best.

Charli Brown raced in the 200 back (46th/1:55.84) and Molly Batchelor swam the 100 free (40th/48.83). Brown's time in the 200 back is a personal-best and the fifth-fastest mark in school history. Batchelor's 100 free is tied for the fourth-fastest time in program history.
