KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Sun Devil trio of Lindsay Looney, Molly Batchelor and Charli Brown raced Friday morning at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center to kick off Day 3 of the NCAA Women's Swimming Championships.

Batchelor (39th/1:46.37) and Looney (41st/1:46.39) competed in the 200 free, while Brown swam the 400 IM (33rd/4:14.12). The top-16 in each event advanced to the evening final session.

The Sun Devils will turn to the fourth and final day of the national championships, where each Sun Devil will compete in an event.

Brown -- 200 back
Batchelor -- 100 free
Looney -- 200 fly

Looney will enter the 200 fly having posted the fourth-fastest time in the country this season at 1:52.68.

DAY 1 RECAP
The Sun Devils didn't race on Wednesday evening, which featured just the 200 medley relay and 800 free relay. The Virginia Women swept both races, setting a new NCAA, American and US Open record in the 200 medley relay (1:31.51).

After the first night in Knoxville, the Cavaliers stood alone atop the team standings.

DAY 2 RECAP
Lindsay Looney was the top Sun Devil from Thursday evening, taking 13th in the 500 free (4:40.72) to earn Second-Team All-American status for the second time in her career.

She took fifth in the consolation final, earning four points and putting the Sun Devils on the board in Knoxville.

Looney paced teammate Molly Batchelor (29th) in the morning prelims, who finished at 4:42.21.

Charli Brown competed in the 200 IM prelims, finishing at 1:57.98.
