Quotes:
Arizona State Head Coach Natasha Adair:

Opening Statement:
"Not a complete 40-minutes. We're just trying to get us to do. The message was finish. I thought we had opportunities, I thought that we showed some fight, some competitiveness, I thought before Imogen (Greenslate) went down she was a huge spark for us. Rebounds, 50-50 balls on the floor, energy for us. But there wer pivotal moments in the game that we just have to capitalize on. I thought we had a late burst in the fourth (quarter) but you have got to put together a full-40. Again, it's a group that's competing, we just have to finish some plays. So again, we still have work to do and not the outcome we wanted."

On the struggles in the third quarter:
"We got the looks, they just didn't fall. We got looks at the rim, got looks in the mid-range. So it was just continuing to work, continuing to get in the gym, continuing to work on those opportunities that we're going to get as it's the same shots we took in the fourth and we hit 25 points. It's staying locked-in, staying focused and we got the looks, but they just didn't fall."

On the changes in the second quarter and forcing turnovers:
"I think some of our rotations were a little off and then there were wide open looks that we did not want to give up as we were forcing those turnovers so we pulled it back a little bit. Then different rotations, certain players we have a certain group that'll trap against a certain group that's not. There's some people that's out of position based on foul trouble and based on Imogen going down. I thought we flew around and they had 20 turnovers, just capitalizing off of that I think we had 17-points off turnovers. So that was a good stat for us. It's just the moments that we have to knock down the open shots that we work so hard for. We tell them reward yourself, you reward the team. So we will continue, we'll break this film down and show them where the shots are and where they'll get it."

On implementing the full-court press earlier in the game:
"You have to see how the game is being called and for us we have a lot of kids get in foul trouble. So we had to be smart, especially with a shorter bench. I would love to play press for 40-minutes but you have to adjust with how they're calling the game and make sure you're putting the best players in the best spot."

On Junior Center Imogen Greenslate's injury and how do you keep a forward attitude:
"It's next teammate up you know. We look at it as an opportunity to pick our sister up.You know and that's what we say, " pick your teammate up, pick your teammate up". In this sport and in any sport things happen. We can't predict that. It did let the air out of the room a little bit as you know. But you know I think her energy was what we wanted to keep going and so I think her teammates tried to do that but she had such a great presence, in some ways you can't emulate that in a lot of ways but I think its just next person up because those things happen and so we just hope that she's gonna be okay."

On the small-ball lineup finding success:
"We open the floor, so they were able to play downhill, get two feet in the paint and get to the rim. Put foul pressure on and so that's a stat that is always for us want to lead. Whether if it's with our post or with our guards. We'll look to score in different ways if we throw it to our bigs or open the floor for our guards to get two feet in the paint. We knew we could put pressure on them and get aggressive in it, activates us, and also gives us the opportunity to get to the free throw line. We got there 25 times tonight and we were 20-for-25 tonight and that's another reason why that number will go up."

Arizona State Guard Tyi Skinner

On rallying your team as a player:
"Just to keep our focus, just to lock in on our next game. Like coach said, we're preparing to win and we're going into the game hoping to not lose, we're preparing to win. So just to keep that mindset and focus on the next one. We still have quite a few games left just in the regular season before we go to the tournament so we can still get it. We just gotta keep our heads up."

On what is it gonna take to play with Stanford and what did you learn from the first time:
"Like coach just said I think it's more so they have to stop us. So I think if we play our game, we push the ball in transition when it comes to them and us guarding them I think we have to be aggressive with them. Like coach said we gotta locate Stanford guard Hannah Jump cause she got six 3's last time. So I think if we cut down on that we'll be good."

On drawing fouls into tonight's game, how frustrating that the calls didn't go your way
"It's definitely frustrating. I think but also as a player you can't rely on the refs to call the foul. When I went up I was trying to go up just to finish like I wasn't trying to really focus on the foul even though it may feel like it was but whatever the call be, you still gotta get back, the game is not going to stop for you just cause you're frustrated so…. But yeah it definitely is frustrating."
