TEMPE, Ariz. – The start of the Sun Devils' highly anticipated 2022-23 season begins this weekend in Athens, Georgia, with a pair of meets at the Gabrielsen Natatorium.
Both Sun Devil teams will square off against the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday, September 30, at 1 p.m. MST before a tri-meet against Georgia and the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, October 1, at 7 a.m. MST.

LOOKING BACK
The Sun Devils, Bulldogs and the Tigers had their fingerprints all over the 2022 NCAA Championships back in March. The Sun Devils, of course, had their highest finish from the Men's team in 40 years, backed by Léon Marchand's victories in the 200 IM and 200 breast.
The Georgia Men's team placed 8th overall, thanks to Matthew Sates' winning the 500 free and Luca Urlando's American record in the 100 back. Its' Women's squad placed 15th, powered by Abby McCulloh's fifth-place effort in the 1650 free.
This weekend's action will also mark the beginning of a new era for the Bulldogs, after Jack Bauerle announced his retirement this summer after a 44-year run as the program's head coach.
Neil Versfeld is now at the helm of the Georgia Men's team, while Stefanie Williams Moreno oversees the Women's team.
The Tigers are a year removed from both their Men's and Women's teams earning top-25 finishes at NCAAs. Jack Dahlgren was a key component in helping the Men's team score 27 total points by placing sixth overall in the 200 back. Amy Feddersen, Megan Keil, Sierra Smith and Sarah Thompson cruised to an eighth-place finish in the 200 free relay, as the Tigers earned 34 points spanning the four-day event.
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
Not only do the Sun Devils boast world-class talent across both their Men's and Women's rosters, but they've built quite the supporting cast, too. Of the 13 Sun Devils who earned All-American honors at last year's NCAAs, 10 are back this season.
