TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devil Swimming and Diving program has announced its schedule for the 2022-23 season, highlighted by five home meets and a regular season finale against the University of Arizona in Tempe.

The first chance for fans to see the new-look Sun Devils will be on Friday, September 23, when the team hosts its annual Maroon & Gold scrimmage at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. There will be free admission for the meet, which is slated to begin at 2 p.m.

The regular season will officially commence the following week, when both Sun Devil teams venture to The Peach State to go toe-to-toe with the University of Georgia and University of Missouri on September 30 and October 1 in Athens.

The Sun Devils' first action at home will take place Saturday, October 22, when they host the University of Wisconsin at 11 a.m.

The next three meets that will conclude the first half of the season all take place on the road – at USC (Friday, November 4, 1 p.m.), at UCLA (Women's team only, Saturday, November 5, 12 p.m.) and the Wolfpack Invite (Thursday, November 17-Saturday, November 19).

The Women's team will return to the pool on Saturday, January 14, to host Washington State at 11 a.m for the first action of 2023, while also marking the official start of a four-meet homestand.

The Men's and Women's teams will welcome a pair of Pac-12 foes to Tempe the following weekend in Stanford (Friday, January 20, 2 p.m.) and Cal (Saturday, January 21, TBD) before giving way to the final meet of the regular season against in-state rival Arizona (Saturday, February 4, 1 p.m.).

For the first time since 2019-20, the Sun Devils will have divers competing in all but one meet this season (January 14 vs. Washington State). Second-year head diving coach Marc Briggs has a total of six divers for 2022-23 after transfers Zachory Lundgren and Thomas Wesche were the first to join the program in early January.

The attention will turn to the postseason after the early February meeting with the Wildcats, where the Women's team will travel to Federal Way, Washington, for the Pac-12 Championships from Wednesday, February 22-Saturday, February 25.

The Men's team will head there the following week to compete from Wednesday, March 1-Saturday, March 4. The NCAA Zone Diving Championships, which will determine qualification for the NCAA Championships, will be held from March 6-8 in Federal Way.

All that remains on the slate is the NCAA Championships. The Women's team will head to Knoxville, Tennessee, to compete from Wednesday, March 15-Saturday, March 18. The Men's team, fresh off their best finish at nationals in 40 years, will participate the following week, Wednesday March 22-Saturday, March 25, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
