TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Water Polo is back home at Mona Plummer to host the ASU Invitational Tournament. Cal State East Bay, Salem University, and Ottawa University, AZ will be in town on Feb 11-12. ASU will only face CSUEB and Salem in one game on Friday at 12:45 pm mst and one game on Saturday at 1:45 pm mst. Both games will be streamed via the ASU Live Stream.

ASU returns to Mona Plummer after competing in the Stanford Invitational and splitting the weekend with two wins over San Diego State University and UC Davis. The Sun Devils remained ranked at No. 9 in the CWPA weekly polls.

Vanda Baksa, Lara Kiss, and Borbala Kekesi got it done defensively for the Sun Devils last weekend– with Baksa currently leading the MPSF in steals and field blocks with 18 and 13, respectively. She is also second in the NCAA in steals with 15 and points with 40, behind only Olympic Gold Medalist Maddie Musselman. 

In Friday's matchup, ASU first faced Cal State East Bay, who is 2-1 on the season and comes off of an 8-15 loss to University of the Pacific. In the week three CWPA weekly polls, the Pioneers were just off the top 25 and were the fourth team receiving votes. All-time, the Sun Devils are 5-0 against CSUEB, and have averaged 14 goals in each win over the Pioneers– with the last one coming in February of 2020.

Saturday concludes with Salem at ASU which will be the first time in program history that these two teams have met. The Tigers are 0-4 on the season with their last three losses coming to top-six ranked teams, two of them being ASU's MPSF opponents.

OUAZ will face both the Pioneers and the Tigers at Mona Plummer, and all games will be live statted via TheFOSH.
