TEMPE – Sun Devil Gymnastics will showcase the 2023 squad for the first time at the annual Maroon and Gold intrasquad on Monday at 6:30 p.m. MST in Desert Financial Arena.
The meet will see the Gym Devils split into two teams, Maroon and Gold, to test their routines in front of a crowd and judges for the first time, prepping for the season. The two teams are as follows, with Maroon being the home team:
Admission is free for all attending. There will be no live stream for the meet, but fans who are unable to attend can catch the action by following the team on Instagram (@sundevilgymnastics) and watching the Instagram Live. There will be a separate one for each rotation.
Arizona State looks to improve upon an already strong 2022 campaign that saw the team winning a share of the Pac-12 regular-season title, competing in the night session at Pac-12s, and finishing in the top 25 for the fifth year in a row. All but three routines that made lineups return, as well as five strong freshmen added to the mix. Three-time All-American Hannah Scharf, now a senior, leads the impressive group of returners.
