ATLANTA - On the last leg of the Georgia Tech Invitational, Sun Devil Volleyball came up short to host team No. 5 Georgia Tech in four sets (25-17, 25-22, 13-25, 25-10) on Saturday.

Set One: Georgia Tech 25, ASU 17
Poised, the Sun Devils held their own to begin the set. Strikes were landing in ASU's area, but they were absorbing and dealing with many of them to keep the set within reach. The Yellow Jackets got six of the next nine points, with the Sun Devils not only limiting the damage but taking the lead for the second time on Isanovic's service ace to make it 8-7, Devils. Down one at 14-13, the Sun Devils saw another lengthy run, this time of five. The Yellow Jackets' defense buckled down, holding ASU to just four, to support the home team's next 11, to take the opening set.
Set Two: Georgia Tech 25, ASU 22
Tied at four, the Yellow Jackets put three on the board, only for the Sun Devils to answer back with three of their own to make it 7-7. A run of three for Georgia Tech was erased after ASU piled four on for the lead at 11-10. The runs for the Sun Devils subsided, with Georgia Tech starting to pull away. ASU would not go down quietly facing set point, scoring three on Levinska's seventh kill of the set, Isanovic's fourth and a Georgia Tech error. A final Yellow Jackets kill concluded ASU's run, however.
Set Three: ASU 25, Georgia Tech 13
The beginning stage proved this set would be different for the Sun Devils. ASU went on two 3-0 runs to double Georgia Tech's points at 10-5. ASU's ample effort to keep the ball alive turned into an extended rally, with the payoff being a 14th point for the Sun Devils, 14-6. At this point, one of every two swings for ASU went down as a kill. Levinska and Jeter's block and another kill from Levinska contributed to the Sun Devils, reaching 20 before Georgia Tech had hit double figures, sitting at nine. Jeter was important in closing out the set that would snap Georgia Tech's 11-set win streak, with two kills and a solo block.

Still trailing in the match, the Sun Devils faced a challenge with an early deficit of six. Isanovic added two kills to her total tally of 15, but the Yellow Jackets stacked nine of the next 10 points to add to a larger lead. Levinska finalized her performance of 15 kills and 15 digs, with a pair of kills as the Yellow Jackets closed in on 25 to close out the tournament.

- Arizona State (4-2) battled with Georgia Tech (4-0) in a rowdy gym, taking the Yellow Jackets to four sets. The two teams were close in most categories, but ASU struggled on serve receive down the stretch, which contributed to Georgia Tech's nine aces in the match.
- ASU's win in the third set snapped Georgia Tech's 11-set winning streak.
- Senior outside hitter Iman Isanovic notched 15 kills today, her fifth match in a row reaching double figures. She passed Leanne Schuster (1991-94) in the record book for career kills, moving into 16th all-time.
- Also reaching 15 kills was junior pin hitter Marta Levinska with a strong .314 hitting percentage. She also collected a season-high 15 digs for her first double-double of the season.
- Primarily handling the setting duties was junior Ella Snyder, earning a season-high 32 assists. She added eight digs as well.
