TEMPE, Ariz. – The roster for Sun Devil Volleyball grows again as the team signs Italian middle blocker Beatrice Badini and Michigan State grad transfer Jamye Cox.
 
Beatrice Badini | Junior
Castellanza, Italy | University of Milan | Middle Blocker | 6-2
  • Fresh off of a Series A first-place finish with Tecnoteam Albese
  • Defeated France in the championship on June 26 to climb to the A2 series for the first time in club history. She was one of two top scorers in the match, scoring 13 points
  • Has also played for Picco Lecco and Yamamay Busto Arsizio in her career
  • Her parents are Daniele Badini and Alessandra Bonzi, and she has a younger sibling named Letizia
  • Goes by Bea
Sanja Tomasevic: "Beatrice is another athletic, tall student-athlete with a good arm we added in the middle this off season. She will bring maturity to our team and experience from playing in Italian league."

  • Was a captain for the Spartans in the spring 2021 season
  • Ranks fourth all-time at MSU in career digs (1,424) and fourth in career digs per set (3.79)
  • Among active Division I players through the 2020-21 season, ranked 34th in career digs
  • 2021 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar
  • Three-time Academic All-Big Ten (2018, 2019, 2020)
  • Earned her degree in Advertising Management and will be pursuing a master's at ASU
  • Her parents are James and Tammy and her father was a basketball letterwinner at TriState University
  • Has two sisters, Ryann and Kenady. Ryann played volleyball at Bowling Green
