STANFORD, Calif. – Sun Devil Women's Golf wrapped up the Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship at Stanford Golf Course.

Arizona State (+8/860) secured a third-place finish for the second consecutive championship and third time and five tries under Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye. With Territorial Cup Series implications making every stroke important, the Sun Devils finished ahead of Arizona to claim the point. It is the first time since 2016 the Maroon & Gold claimed the point, a crucial one in preventing the Wildcats from clinching the series.

It was a clutch finish by Linn Grant that was the key for ASU, as she birdied 16 and 17 down the stretch to put her team up one stroke in the standings. Three different Sun Devils birdied 16, showing poise when they needed to the most. The Sun Devils finished behind champion USC and host Stanford, with six of the ten teams finishing +23 or worse.

"I am proud of our 3rd place finish and gaining our Territorial Cup point for Sun Devil Athletics," Coach Farr-Kaye remarked. "We struggled a bit in the middle of the round but hung in there to the finish.  Linn and Amanda had solid finishes as well! We look forward to finding out where we will be going for our regional bid later this week."

The Sun Devils did their best work of the day on the front nine, sitting at even as a team before making the turn. Four of the five Sun Devils birdied the seventh hole, giving the team seven total on that hole this weekend. Arizona State was Top-5 in the field in stroke average on par three, four, and five opportunities. They accounted for 42 birdies and 165 pars in three rounds.

Linn Grant came through when the Sun Devils needed her, saving her best round of the tournament for last. She fired a 68 (-3), tied for the second-best round of the day. She moved into the Top-5 and ended up tied for fifth thanks to birdies on 16 & 17, which helped Arizona State clinch the Territorial Cup Series point.

Amanda Linner joined Grant in finishing Top-10 in their Pac-12 Championship debut. She played brilliantly throughout the weekend, earning sole possession of ninth place. Linner flirted with the individual title at times this weekend and now has three Top-10 finishes this season.
