LOS ANGELES – Sophomore Hannah Scharf won the all-around title as No. 15 Sun Devil Gymnastics fell short in a competitive meet at preseason No. 7 UCLA on Saturday, 196.150 to 195.950.

The floor lineup struggled with staying in bounds, resulting in the first four scores staying relatively low. Freshman Mangahas broke the streak with a career-high 9.850 to get the team back on track. Scharf wrapped it up with her third-straight 9.875 of the day.

With the final result still up in the air, the Sun Devils went to beam. Despite a solid event score, the Bruins had three scores of 9.900 or better in the back half of their lineup to take the win. Scharf and White had 9.850s to lead the team on beam. Clark chipped in a 9.825 and Gracie Reeves earned a 9.800.
