TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil women's swimming and diving are back at home this weekend, welcoming in the Kansas Jayhawks into the confines of the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. The meet, set for 11 a.m. MST, is the first matchup between the Sun Devils and Jayhawks since 2009.

Camryn Curry shined for the Sun Devils in their last outing against Northwestern, taking home two first place individual events against the Wildcats. Curry took gold in both the 50 and 100 freestyle last Saturday, a feat she had not achieved all season to highlight her improvement approaching the NCAA National Championship in just two months.

Emma Nordin continued her season-long domination in the distance freestyle events, taking the top time in both the 500 and 1000 free swims. Proving her success in distance, her time of 9:38.90 in the 1000 free at the NC State Invitational still reigns as a top-4 time in Division I Women's Swimming.

Several freshman also contributed crucial points for the Sun Devils including Lindsay Looney (one silver, one bronze), Claire Nguyen (one silver, one bronze), and Jadé Foelske (one silver, one bronze) all raced to podium spots in the meet. Looney was ranked one of the top-25 in her high school class of 2019 as one of the more talented butterfly/IMers in her class.

Kansas rolls into Tempe holding a 4-0 record so far this season with wins over South Dakota, Missouri State, Colorado State and Nebraska. In 2019, then-senior diver Vicky Xu earned two All-America honors for her efforts in Austin as the only member to punch their ticket to the National Championship. As a team, the squad finished last season with a 7-1 record in dual meets including a program-record 754.50 points at the Big 12 championships.

The meet is set to start at 11 a.m. MST at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center in Tempe. As always, the meet is free to the public, and fans can also stream the event or follow along with live results on Meet Mobile.
