LOS ANGELES – Wrapping up the Pac-12 South Tournament, Arizona State beach volleyball fell to No. 11 Cal, 5-0, and lost in a close 3-2 match to No. 19 Stanford on Sunday.
 
Arizona State (4-6, 1-5 Pac-12) finished the weekend on a rough note, but some pairs found success. Seniors Katelyn Carballo and Ellyson Lundberg teamed up for the first time this season, winning their match against the Cardinal. Playing together for the first time, Cierra Flood and Maddy Salazar on in three against Stanford.
 
Game One – No. 11 Cal 5, Arizona State 0
The day started off with a loss. Only the No. 5 pair of Kate Baldwin and Lexi Sweeney won a set. They ultimately fell in three, however.

Game Two – No. 19 Stanford 3, Arizona State 2
In the final match of the Pac-12 South Tournament, Arizona State picked up two points but ultimately fell short of the upset. Seniors Carballo and Lundberg won on court two, and Flood and Salazar won on court four in three. Court five also went to three sets, but the Cardinal ultimately won there, Baldwin and Sweeney's second match today falling in three.
