TEMPE, Ariz. – With three  opportunities to earn wins over ranked teams this weekend, Arizona State beach volleyball will play in the Pac-12 South Tournament from March 7-8 in Los Angeles, taking on No. 3 UCLA, Utah, No. 11 Cal and No. 19 Stanford.

Arizona State (3-3, 0-2 Pac-12) has a .500 record in 2020 after going 1-3 last weekend. The Sun Devils' losses this year have all come against ranked opponents, a trend continuing from 2019. They have taken care of business against teams who are not ranked.

This season, junior Kate Baldwin and freshman Lexi Sweeney have been a standout pair for the Sand Devils. The duo has a 4-2 record this year, playing primarily at the No. 4 spot. Their record leads all ASU pairs in 2020. Against then-No. 20 Stanford, the two won in straight sets.
