SEATTLE – Leading for all but a minute, the Arizona State men's basketball team walked away with a victory after taking down Washington 87-83 Saturday night.
ASU had five players with double digits in points, with Remy Martin leading with 19 points. Rob Edwards, Romello White and Alonzo Verge Jr. all had 18 points each. Khalid Thomas added 10 points.
The Sun Devils (13-8, 4-4 Pac-12) shot 46 percent and were plus-nine on the boards (42-33). Edwards (9-10), White (8-8) and Martin (5-6) combined to shoot 92 percent from the line (22-24) where the Sun Devils shot 82 percent (27-33) as a team.
The ASU bench outscored Washington's reserves 32-13 with Verge and Thomas combining for 28 of those points.
The Sun Devils led by as many as nine points in the first half. Martin had 14 points and White had 10 points to give the Sun Devils a 39-33 lead after 20 minutes.
