TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Football will begin spring practices under third-year head coach Herm Edwards on Monday, February 24, the program announced today.
 
Arizona State's spring slate will consist of 15 practices, culminating with the annual Spring Game on Saturday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at Sun Devil Stadium/Frank Kush Field.  The final practice on March 28 will be televised live by the Pac-12 Networks.  

All spring practices, except for the final practice, will take place at the Kajikawa Practice Facility. All practices are open to the general public and media. 
 
ASU opens the 2020 season against NAU on Thursday, September 3 at Frank Kush Field/Sun Devil Stadium.

NOTE HEADING INTO 2020: ASU will enter the 2020 season as one of 21 teams with at least a three-game winning streak. The others are LSU (17), Air Force (8), FAU (7), Appalachian State, Notre Dame and Tennessee (6), Florida, Iowa, Kent State, Kentucky, Navy and Western Kentucky (4), while others with three are Buffalo, Cal, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Rice and UCF.

KEEPING IT CLOSE UNDER COACH HERM:
 ASU has had 10 games decided by four points or less in the past two seasons, the most in the Pac-12 (WSU has had eight) and tied with San Diego State for most in the nation…ASU has had 17 games decided by a touchdown or less, the most in the nation (Texas with 16) and easily the most in the Pac-12 (Cal and Washington have 12)…take it one point higher and ASU's 17 8-point games (still one possession) is most in the nation (Eastern Michigan and Texas with 16, Cal had 13)…ASU has seven wins by four points or less, most in the Pac-12 (Oregon with six) and tied for most in the nation (with Hawaii, Nevada and Northern Illinois)ASU's nine wins of seven points or less is most in the Pac-12 (Cal has seven) and tied for second in the nation with Hawaii, Nevada and Oklahoma (Texas with 10)ASU has nine wins by eight points or less which is tops in the Pac-12 (Cal has eight) and tied for second in the nation (Texas has 10 while Hawaii, Nevada, Northern Illinois, San Diego State and Oklahoma have nine).
