TEMPE, Ariz. – On the road for the fourth-straight week, Arizona State volleyball will wrap up non-conference play at the Rebel Challenge this week, playing UNLV on Thursday, September 19 and Kansas on Friday, September 20.
 
Arizona State went 2-1 at the OU Nike Invitational last weekend, beating Louisiana and Georgia Tech. Andrea Mitrovic and Kennedi Boyd were named to the all-tournament team for their strong play. Mitrovic led the team in kills in all three matches, while Boyd earned career numbers in kills (7) and blocks (6).
 
Both matches at the Rebel Challenge will have live stats.
 
Opponent Outlook
UNLV (3-6) | Thursday, September 19, 6:30 p.m. MST
  • The Rebels are home for the second weekend in a row. At the UNLV Invitational last weekend, they lost all three matches.
  • UNLV is led by freshman outside hitter Shelby Capllonch, who leads the team in kills with 152 and in digs with 116.
  • ASU leads in the series history, 5-4. The Sun Devils have dominated the last two matchups, winning both in three sets.

  • The Jayhawks have lost four of their last five matches, going 2-1 at the Kansas Invitational last weekend.
  • ASU's senior transfer Jada Burse came to Arizona State from Kansas, where she spent three seasons.
  • This will be the second meeting between these two teams in program history, with Kansas winning that match.
