For the third time during the 2019 season, the California Golden Bears represent the opponent for the Sun Devils. Head Coach Brooke Eubanks' squad finished 6-11 overall, earning the fourth seed after a 3-7 finish in the Pac-12. The two sides were evenly matched in the first battle, with the visiting Golden Bears escaping Tempe with a 12-11 overtime victory. Arizona State controlled a majority of the game, but were unable to hold onto a lead late in the contest. Three different Sun Devils finished with three or more points, but the balanced effort would not be enough. On Senior Day in Berkeley, the Sun Devils faced an emotionally-charged Golden Bears side, who jumped out to an early lead and did not look back. Despite a valiant effort from Emily Glagolev and Kerri Clayton, Arizona State fell 17-8.

This is the second year of the Pac-12 Lacrosse Tournament, with the Stanford Cardinal winning the title last season. Half of the field is ranked in the IWLCA top-25 poll, with USC leading the way at No. 17, followed by No. 20 Stanford and No. 22 Colorado. Every game of the event will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network and available on all of the Pac-12's digital platforms.

Arizona State has managed to carry over and continue building on the momentum gained from a historic inaugrual season. After not earning an honor in their inaugural season, three different Sun Devils earned Pac-12 Player of the Week recognition in 2019.

The first week of the season featured a breakout performance from Kaylon Buckner in her collegiate debut, culminating in her earning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors. The midfielder contributed in every facet of the game, finishing the contest with six caused turnovers, earning five draw controls while also securing a ground ball. She may have won Defensive Player of the Week honors, but the freshman also served as a key part of the Sun Devil attack. She recorded four points (two goals & two assist), including tallying the game-winning goal in the second half.

Kerri Clayton put together a record-breaking performance in a victory over Oregon (4/5) worthy of Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week recognition. Clayton finished with 13 points, scoring nine goals while dishing out four assists, during the two-game weekend. She recorded 12 points against Oregon, which matched Colorado's Darby Kiernan (12 points vs. Jacksonville – 5/11/18) for the most points by a Pac-12 player in a single game. Clayton set the school record for points (12) and goals (8) in a game, leading Arizona State to a second Pac-12 win for the first time in program history.

Sun Devils bookended the weekly awards this season, as Emily Glagolev took home the final Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honor of 2019. Glagolev was the main offensive threat in the Sun Devils' two games, compiling four goals and seven assists leading her team to a split against two California opponents. In Arizona State's 13-11 win over San Diego State, Glagolev was refused to let her team lose in an all-around dominant effort. She finished with a career-high nine points (3 goals & 6 assists), including hitting the 50-point plateau on the season in style with a clutch goal late in the second half to put the game away. It is the second time she has finished with at least eight points in a game, producing eight points in a road victory over Oregon back in March. With the victory, the Sun Devils reach six wins for the second consecutive season.

4?1? points over her last 1?1? games for a red-hot @emily_glagolev ??

After 1?1? more points in two games this week, the sophomore has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week! #Pac12Lax

Kaylon Buckner (2/12/19) – Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week

Junior goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau has showed tremendous growth in her game, handling a heavy workload extremely well. She not only ranks second in the conference in both saves and saves/game, her 187 saves are second in the country while her 11.0 saves/game are good enough for eighth nationally. Kerri Clayton's 33 goals this year put her in the Top-10 in the conference in goals for the second consecutive season.
