TEMPE, Ariz. – For the second week in a row, No. 21 Arizona State gymnastics will compete in a quad meet on the road, this time in Denver to compete against No. 6 Denver, No. 18 Nebraska and Pittsburgh.
 
The Gym Devils (8-8) are coming off of their best road score. They earned a 196.150 in the quad meet at Penn State last Saturday. The team took second and had three individual event winners: Morgan Wilson on vault (9.900), Cairo Leonard-Baker on bars (9.925) and Corinne Belkoff on floor (9.900).
 
In the latest Road to Nationals Rankings, ASU held steady at No. 21. The team is ranked in the top 25 in three events: No. 17 on bars, No. 19 on beam and No. 20 on vault. Representing the Sun Devils, Leonard-Baker is tied for No. 8 on bars in the nation. She has won six bars titles this season.
 
Opponents Outlook
No. 6 Denver (14-2)
  • The Pioneers have scored a 197.000 or better in the last four meets, including a season-high 197.775 last week.
  • Denver is ranked in the top 10 in each event and top 5 on bars and beam (No. 4 in both). Lynnzee Brown scored a perfect 10.000 this season on floor for her team.
  • The meet on Sunday will be the Pioneers' senior day and fan appreciation meet. 
No. 18 Nebraska (8-4)
  • This season, Nebraska is averaging a 196.240. The highest score came back in January against Illinois when the team earned a 197.250, the lone meet with a 197.000 or better.
  • The Cornhuskers are ranked in the top 20 in each event, their best being No. 13 on floor.
Pittsburgh (7-9)
  • The Panthers' best event this season is on vault where they are ranked No. 32 in the country, followed closely by beam where they are No. 33.
  • Their best score this season is a 195.425, which they earned in a tri-meet at Pitt back in February.
The meet will be televised on Altitude Sports. For those who do not have that channel, there will be a live stream that fans need to pay for in order to watch.
