Match #1: UCSB 11, ASU 10

In the marquee matchup of the weekend with seven lead changes and four ties, the No. 7 Sun Devils battled to the end, coming up just short to No. 10 UCSB, 11-10.

Lieke Rogge gave ASU the early lead at the 5:15 mark of the first quarter before UCSB gained the lead, 3-1, over the next three minutes. Maud Koopman and Viktoria Orlova would score a minute apart to knot the score at 3 at the first quarter break.

UCSB scored two of three goals in the third quarter but with 5:37 left in the game, Julia Reyes tied the game once again at 9. UCSB would score back-to-back goals before Amira Van Buren's powerplay goal at 2:16 brought the Devils within one, which would be as close as they would get.
