The Arizona State men's golf team heads to Tucson to compete in the Arizona Intercollegiate on Jan 28-29. The tournament, hosted by the University of Arizona, will take place at the Sewailo Golf Club with 36 holes to be played on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.
Arizona State has won the Arizona Intercollegiate title six times with the last victory coming in 2015. The Sun Devils have won the individual medal five times with the last title also coming in 2015 when Max Rotluff won the honor. ASU only trails host Arizona in all time wins and individual medals. The Sun Devils will be looking the build on an impressive fall campaign, as the team never finished outside the top five.
LINEUP: ASU's lineup this week include freshman Cameron Sisk, juniors Chun An Yu and Blake Wagoner, and sophomores Koichiro Ishika and Mason Andersen.
Keep an eye out for Chun An Yu who won recently the 2019 Austrialian Master of the Amatuers. The junior is currently the 20th ranked collegiate golfer according to the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
The rest of the Sun Devils will be competing in the Arizona Medalist, a simultaneous event that will be taking place at Randolph Park.
THE FIELD: ASU will compete against strong competition including Arizona, BYU, Denver, Iowa State, LMU, Long Beach State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, St. Mary's, Texas A&M, UALR, UCLA, UTEP, UTSA, and Washington.
