LOUISVILLE – Despite three Sun Devils reaching double figures in kills, Arizona State volleyball had a setback at No. 24 Louisville, falling in four sets (21-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-15) in the final match of the Fleur De Lis Tournament on Saturday.
Arizona State falls to 4-2 on the season after dropping its first top-25 matchup of the year to Louisville (5-1). Senior libero Courtney Leffel was named to the Fleur De Lis All-Tournament Team after her efforts this weekend. She earned double-digit digs in each match, improving her streak to 11 matches in a row after earning 10 digs against Louisville. This was her second all-tournament honor of the season after being named to the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup last weekend.

The home team came out swinging, going on a 6-0 run early to go up 10-3. However, the Sun Devils responded, scoring seven in a row, including an ace from Isanovic, to tie it at 11-11. A kill from Mitrovic gave ASU its first lead at 14-13, a lead the team would hold on to. The Cardinals got back within one at 21-10, but the Sun Devils scored four-straight points to win. Isanovic's second ace of the day won the set for Arizona State, 25-21.

The Sun Devils kept up the momentum to start the second, scoring four in a row to go up 8-3, an ace in the corner from Miller sparking her team. However, Louisville bounced back, chipping away at the lead before going on a 6-0 run to get ahead 14-10. A kill and a block from Burse powered four-straight points and put ASU back within one at 16-15. The comeback would fall short as the Cardinals finished the set on a 10-2 run to win, 25-18.
Set Three: Louisville 25, Arizona State 17
Arizona State started down in the third set after a few big runs for Louisville put the home team up 12-7. Three in a row from kills by Burse brought back a spark for the Sun Devils, making the deficit 21-16. The Cardinals responded with a 4-1 run to end the set, winning 25-17.
Set Four: Louisville 25, Arizona State 15
After an early 4-1 lead for the Sun Devils, they began to struggle. The Cardinals put together four in a row to go up 8-7 and kept the lead for the whole set. Kennedi Boyd and Burse teamed up for a stuff block, cutting the lead to three at 16-13. Louisville ended the set with a 7-1 run to win 25-15, and take the match.

- Jada Burse led all players in kills with 15, her third game in a row reaching double figures. She also led the team in blocks with four.
