"I don't think anyone will look at our schedule and feel sorry for us," says Sun Devil head coach Matt Thurmond, who earned Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors last year. "It's a great combination of elite fields, amazing places and awesome courses. We always try to find a mix of the familiar with a splash of new. Our fall schedule, in particular, has two new events. After starting at the Maui Jim up at Mirabel, we go to Trinity Forest and then on to Notre Dame. At Trinity Forest we play a PGA Tour venue and at Notre Dame the individual winner gets an exemption in a nearby Korn Ferry Tour event. Isleworth in late October is always a perfect way to wrap up the fall."
"We encourage our guys to play big overseas events when the timing is right. Alex (del Rey) will miss a fall event for a European Tour start and Chun, James (Leow), and Won Jun Lee will all attend the Asia Pacific Amateur in Shanghai. They won't be available for Trinity Forest. This will give our team an opportunity for some varied lineups and increased individual opportunities. Kevin will also miss some team stuff to play the PGA Tour event at Bay Hill in March. To stay highly-ranked our depth will have to really show this year with some top players missing multiple events.
"Our spring has the usual sunblock-laden trips to Hawaii and Cabo, plus two Southern California events at North Ranch and San Diego Country Club. We particularly enjoy descending on Tucson annually for the NIT and can't wait to play another great field and the quickly-growing Thunderbird Collegiate at Papago Golf Course. We also will have the special opportunity to play Augusta State's event in April, and attend the Monday practice round at the Masters.
"I'm personally excited to return to Seattle Golf Club with my Sun Devils for the Pac-12 Championships and after a Regionals at who-knows-where, we get our first chance to play the NCAA Championship right in our own town at Grayhawk Golf Club. What a year!!!"

SEPTEMBER 22-24: TRINITY FOREST INVITATIONAL (TRINITY FOREST GOLF CLUB IN DALLAS, TX/SMU)
Baylor and Thomas Rosenmueller of North Texas won the 2018 titles, while Florida claimed the 2017 team title after carding a 17-under (835) over the three rounds and USC's Justin Suh took home the individual championship after submitting a 10-under 203. Trinity Forest Golf Club resembles many of the great old courses of the Northeast and Great Britain, featuring a links style course on a rolling meadow with tall native grasses and dramatic bunkering and green complexes. The team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw – Coore & Crenshaw, Inc. – designed both the championship golf course, the short course and the nine-hole "Horse Course" as the design of Trinity Forest honors classic golf courses with traditional, strategic golf and great artistry as the guiding philosophy. Trinity Forest is the future home of the PGA TOUR's AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, as well as the new home course for SMU's golf team.

OCT. 7-8: FIGHTING IRISH CLASSIC (WARREN GOLF COURSE IN SOUTH BEND, IN/NOTRE DAME)
The University of Notre Dame will host the 14th Annual Fighting Irish Classic, taking place Oct. 7-8, at the Warren Golf Course, which is located just northeast of campus along Douglas Road. Rated the No. 12 Best College Course in America by GolfWeek, The Warren Golf Course was designed by greats, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Winding its way through 250 wooded acres on the northeast edge of the Notre Dame campus, the course incorporates traditional elements of the great golf courses of the early 20th century and — unlike many modern layouts — is built on subtleties rather than special effects. The course most notably hosted the 2019 Senior PGA Championship this past summer, as the Warren became the first college course to host a USGA event.
OCTOBER 20-22: TAVISTOCK COLLEGIATE (ISLEWORTH COUNTRY CLUB IN WINDERMERE, FLA/UCF)
ASU posted its best round of the 2018 Tavistock Invitational with a 10-under 278 to finish tied for second behind Vanderbilt at Isleworth Country Club in Windermere, Fla. ASU finished the fall season with a head-to-head record of 44-6-1 as it posted three second-place and one fourth-place finish. Sophomore Mason Andersen (70-74-67) climbed nine spots to finish tied for eighth after shooting 5-under 67. Andersen, who played at nearby Hamilton High School in Chandler, completed Tuesday's clean round with five birdies while Vanderbilt's Will Gordon won the tournament after finishing 16-under 200. Anderson finished strong at the 2017 Tavistock Collegiate Invitational as well as he shot a 5-under 211 (69-71-71) and finished fifth.

The Southwestern Intercollegiate was started by USC in 1978. The Waves and the Trojans co-hosted the event in 2013 and 2014. After a year without a tournament, Pepperdine then took over hosting duties in 2016 and merged it with its own home tournament, which had been played at a few different sites. Pepperdine won the event in 2006 and 2017, while last year USC won in dramatic fashion as medalist Justin Suh birdied the 18th hole to give the Trojans a one-stroke victory over California.
FEB. 6-8: AMERI ARI INVITATIONAL (WAIKOLOA KINGS IN WAIKOLOA, HAWAII)
ASU returns for the 28th annual Hawaii tournament, as it took home team honors in 2015 and 1995 while Todd Demsey (1995), Chris Hanell (1996), Jesper Kennegard (2009). In 2018 sophomore Alex del Rey notched his third top-10 finish in five events on the year at the 27th annual Amer Ari Invitational held in Waikoloa, Hawaii at the Kings' Course (par-72/7,074 yards) as ASU finished ninth in the 18-team field. In 2017 the squad finished fourth behind champion Texas Tech, USC and Oregon. ASU made the push to fourth after being tied for seventh to start the day by posting the best final round of any team in the field. Freshman Chun (Kevin) An Yu had an impressive first collegiate tournament, as the twelfth ranked amateur in the world finished six-under and tied for 20th overall.
MARCH 1-3: CABO COLLEGIATE (CABO DEL SOL OCEAN COURSE IN LOS CABOS, MEXICO/ARKANSAS AND HOUSTON)
Freshman Mason Andersen tied for seventh at the 2018 Cabo Collegiate, shooting a 2-under 211 (72-69-70), as @SunDevilMGolf finished fourth at 7-over 859 (285-279-295) in the 15-team field which included nine top-20 teams. Arkansas and Houston are co-hosts for the 2019 event tabbed the Cabo Collegiate held at Cabo del Sol (Ocean Course) in Los Cabos, Mexico. Social media handles are @cabocollegiate (Twitter and Instagram) and #cabogolffamily. MARCH 9-10: LAMKIN GRIPS COLLEGIATE (SAN DIEGO COUNTRY CLUB IN CHULA VISTA, CA/SAN DIEGO)
ASU played in the tournament in 2016 when Jon Rahm was swinging the clubs in Sparky gear and then last year had four Sun Devils in the top ten as it captured its second team victory by a one-stroke margin over Texas. Mason Andersen tied for first with two other players at six-under, and then won the playoff over Cole Hammer (Texas) and Blake Hathcoat (St. Mary's) by making par on No. 18. Three other Sun Devils finished in the top ten. Chun An Yu tied for fourth place at 3-under. Both Blake Wagoner and Alex del Rey finished tied for 10th.

Chun shot a tournament-best 8-under on the par 4 holes and 10-under on the par-5 holes. He posted 32 pars, 18 birdies and one eagle in the 54 holes.
APRIL 4-5: AUGUSTA/HASKINS AWARD (FOREST HILLS GOLF CLUB IN AUGUSTA, GA/AUGUSTA STATE)
ASU has never won this tournament that started in 1979, but Phil Mickelson won the 1989 title with a 2-over 218 (72-71-75), the highest score to take home the title.
