Schedule of Events Opens in a new window 2019 Wrestling Recruiting Class Ranked Second in Nation Opens in a new window

Incoming freshman Cohlton Schultz will be competing at Final X: Lincoln on June 15 for the opportunity to earn a spot on the U.S. senior world team. Schultz punched his ticket to Final X after defeating 2016 Olympic team member Robby Smith, 2-to-1, at the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament.

The No. 1 pound-for-pound recruit in the class of 2019 will take on world silver medalist Adam Coon for the chance to represent the United States at the World Wrestling Championships in Nursultan, Kazakhstan in September.

Schultz, a four-time Colorado State Champion, was recently awarded the 2019 Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award, becoming the second Sun Devil to earn the award in the past four years as two-time NCAA Champion Zahid Valencia earned the honor in 2015.

Cohlton Schultz also won the Greco-Roman Cadet World Championship in 2017, took third at the Greco-Roman Cadet Junior World Championships in 2018, and competed at the World U23 Championships in 2018 and Junior World Championships in 2017.
