This is the 23rd consecutive season ASU has had at least two representatives on Pac-12 All-Academic teams. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, be either a starter or significant contributor, and have one full year in residence at their institution.

Thirty-four baseball student-athletes have earned all-academic honors in the past five seasons. Every one of ASU's six selections today was recognized for their performance on the field yesterday when the conference released the All-Pac-12 teams.

Hunter Bishop was named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Baseball Team last month, as announced by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). He was one of 11 selections in District 8, which includes schools from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawai'i, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Canada.  A 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic selection and posting a 3.41 GPA in interdisciplinary studies, this is the first time Bishop has earned All-Academic recognition from CoSIDA.

The junior was a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention last season and was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team yesterday.

Each of ASU's other five selections are all making their debuts on the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, with four doing so in their first year of eligibility as sophomores. The group of five were all tabbed on the All-Pac-12 teams released yesterday as well.

Alika Williams, who was selected as an honorable mention All-Pac-12 infielder yesterday and named to the All-Defensive team, comes in with a 3.47 GPA as a sports business major.

Gage Workman, a fellow honorable mention selection as an infielder, posted a 3.30 GPA in his exercise and wellness studies.  Corrigan, a business communications major, has posted a 3.41 GPA through his sophomore season at ASU.

Alec Marsh's GPA nearly matched his ERA this season as the Friday Night ace logged a 3.03 GPA in health sciences.  The All-American Spencer Torkelson capped the group with his 3.03 GPA in liberal studies.
