CLERMONT/SARASOTA, Fla. – The three-time reigning Sun Devil triathlon team spent Spring Break week in Florida bookended by competitions to accumulate ITU (International Triathlon Union) world ranking classification points for national team criteria and team selection.

In the CAMTRI Elite race in Clermont, Hannah Henry was the top Sun Devil finisher in fifth place followed closely behind by Katie Gorczyca in sixth. Charlotte Ahrens (10th), Audrey Ernst (11th), incoming Sun Devil Gal Rubanenko (14th) and Kyla Roy (19th) also earned world ranking points for finishing in the top-20.

A day later in the U25 Elite Development Race, Cat Giuseffi and Kenzi Wilson finished 10th and 18th, respectively, out of 65 starters.

To cap the week in the Sunshine State, Ernst also finished 11th in the Sarasota-Bradenton CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup amongst Elite Women while Ahrens and Roy finished 17th and 18th. Gorczyca (24th), Rubanenko (25th), Quintero (30th), and Naughton (31st) rounded out the Sun Devil competitors in the race.

In the Junior Women's Race, Stanley earned a 16th-place finish while Olivia Jenks finished just behind in 19th.

The Sun Devils will return to Tempe and continue preparation both for international competition and for the fall 2019 season as they defend their national title and look for a fourth straight.
