@SunDevilMGolf is headed to Hawaii to compete in the 43rdJohn A. Burns Intercollegiate. The tournament takes place February 21-23 at the Wailua Golf Course in Lihue, Kauai'I. 18 holes will be played each day with a shotgun start at 8am HST each day (5am MST).
ASU Lineup: The Sun Devil lineup includes junior Chun An Yu, freshman Cameron Sisk, junior Blake Wagoner, sophomore Mason Andersen, and junior Alex del Rey. Freshman Won Jun Lee will also compete as an individual.
Look out for both Chun An Yu and Alex del Rey, who were both recently named in the first Palmer Cup spring rankings. Both placed in the top five in their first competitions of the spring in Tucson last month. Cameron Sisk also showed out in Tucson with his best collegiate finish, tied for fifth.
ASU will face some tough competition including five teams in the Golfweek top 50. Returning is Texas A&M, who took the title at the event last year. Chandler Phillip of Texas A&M has also won the individual medal at back to back John Burns Intercollegiate's and will be in the lineup looking to claim a third.
The Field (rank according to Golfweek): Arizona (45), Arizona State (14), Brigham Young, CSUN, Duke (2), Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, New Mexico, North Carolina (34), Northern Colorado, Saint Mary', Texas A&M (20), UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UNLV (36), UTEP, Virginia, and Washington State.
The Sun Devils are yet to place outside the top five in an event this season and will look to keep that streak alive. Live scoring will be available via Golfstat.
