TEMPE, Ariz. – After hosting Marist, the Chinese National Team, and the New York Athletic Club (NYAC) in the ASU Invitational #1 to start the season in early January, No. 5 Sun Devil Water Polo flies west for a match at Hawai'i on Saturday, Jan. 26 (3 pm MT/12 noon Hawai'i time).

A formidable opponent, Hawai'i started the season ranked one lower than the Sun Devils, in a tie for sixth with UC Irvine.
In their season opener on Jan. 12, ASU defeated Marist, 16-8, and Maud Koopman started the season where she left off, leading the way with five goals on seven shots. Bente Rogge added four goals to the effort while newcomers Blaire McDowell and Lieke Rogge also had multi-goal games, scoring two apiece.
Newcomer Bridget Johnston got the win in goal with four saves in three quarters of action while Belen Ehinger also played for one quarter.
After the trip, Arizona State returns home to host the Cross-Conference Challenge, hosting Princeton, Azusa Pacific, UC Santa Barbara, Cal State Monterey Bay, Iona, and Cal Baptist Feb. 1-3. Live stats for all matches of the weekend will be on thefosh.net.
