CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – As announced Wednesday by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), Arizona State women's golf, who owns a nation-leading eight NCAA titles, earned the fifth-highest GPA among all Division I women's golf teams in 2017-18.

The Sun Devils combined for a 3.79 GPA across the year while advancing to their nation-leading 26th consecutive NCAA Regionals and 34th NCAA Championships. ASU had the highest finish among the Pac-12 ahead of Stanford (10th) and Oregon (25th).

As announced by the WGCA last week, four Sun Devils also earned individual All-American Scholar honors for the season. Roberta Liti, Madison Kerley (First Team), Sophia Zeeb, and Olivia Mehaffey (Second Team) also earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors.

Liti capped a senior campaign with several significant national academic honors including Pac-12 Women's Golf Student-Athlete of the Year, NCAA Women's Golf Elite 90, and a CoSIDA Academic All-American.

For the first year, NCAA Division I, II, and III are split, with the Sun Devils earning their highest-ever placement since the award began in 2004-05. When all three divisions were combined, ASU tied for 16th in 2009-10 and ranked 23rd in 2012-13. If all three divisions were still combined, ASU would have the 10th-highest GPA among all divisions.
