TEMPE, Ariz. - In the fourth week of the five-week preview series, we take a look at who No. 20 Arizona State gymnastics will have returning on beam.

A top returner on beam is Ashley Szafranski, who had a great 2018. The junior earned her career high of 9.900 against West Virginia. In fact, there were only three meets last year where Szafranski scored lower than a 9.800.

Justine Callis and Katelyn Lentz also earned 9.900s last season. Against Arizona, both Callis and Lentz, who are seniors this year, scored their career bests. Similar to Szafranski, Callis also had an impressive 2018 on beam, scoring a 9.800 or better in every meet but three.

Cairo Leonard-Baker and Anne Kuhm, who will compete in the all-around, both had solid beam scores in 2018. Leonard-Baker's best came against Stanford when she earned a 9.875. Kuhm, another senior on this year's squad, earned that same 9.875 score in the tri-meet in Sacramento.

Heather Udowitch and Morgan Wilson will could also contribute on beam. Udowitch scored a 9.850 at the 2018 NCAA Regionals. Her career high of 9.875 came at the 2017 Pac-12 Championships. Wilson earned her career high of 9.850 at home against Washington last season.

The freshmen have solid beam experience from their time before ASU, led by Kaitlin Harvey. She finished second on beam at JO Nationals in both 2017 and 2014 and at the 2018 Arizona Grand Invitational.

Next week, we will look at the Gym Devils on floor for the final preview in this series. For a look back at the other previews, check out the general preview here, the vault preview here and the bars preview here.
