TEMPE, Ariz. - Continuing the five-part preview series, Arizona State gymnastics looks ahead to the Gym Devils who will bringing their talents to vault in the 2019 season.

Arizona State has two returning student-athletes who earned 9.900s on vault last season: Cairo Leonard-Baker and Anne Kuhm, who both compete in the all-around. Leonard-Baker, reigning Pac-12 Freshman/Newcomer of the Year, earned her 9.900 in the Pac-12 Championships. Kuhm earned her career-high in the home meet against Arizona in 2018.

Three upperclassmen will also be returning their talents on vault. Morgan Wilson earned a career high against Oregon State last season, scoring a 9.875. Kaitlyn Szafranski received a 9.800 in four different meets in 2018, most recently in a tri-meet with Sacramento State, Oregon State and UC Davis. Junior Jessica Ginn earned a career-high 9.825 on vault twice last season, against Cal and Minnesota.

Other returning Gym Devils who could contribute include Corinne Belkoff, Katelyn Lentz and Graycee Rushton. The seniors Belkoff and Lentz both have career highs of 9.825 on vault. Rushton, a junior, earned a 9.775 against Arizona last year.

The Gym Devils will have a strong freshman addition in Stephanie Tripodi. She won individual vault titles at the 2016 Pikes Peak Cup and the 2015 Metroplex Challenge. In 2017, she took fifth in vault at the New Jersey State Championships.
