FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Courtney Ekmark came within one 3-pointer of tying the single-game school record she already shares and went on to score a game-high 21 points to help lead the No. 17 Arizona State women's basketball team to a 70-39 win at Colorado State on Sunday.

Ekmark, who knocked down seven 3-pointers against Arkansas last season to tie the school record, hit six against Colorado State.

Jamie Ruden (14) and Kianna Ibis (10) also posted double-digit scoring totals for the Sun Devils (7-2), who won their fifth game in a row.

As a team, the Sun Devils connected on nine 3-pointers, the fifth time this season they have hit nine or more shots from downtown after accomplishing the same feat twice last season.

ASU piled up a season-high 26 assists on 28 made field goals and shot 48 percent for the game while committing just 10 turnovers. Reili Richardson's precision passing enabled the junior point guard to achieve a career-high-tying 11 assists with only a single turnover.

The Sun Devils continued their domination on the defensive end, allowing CSU to shoot just 33 percent for the game. The Rams' 39-point output represented the fifth time in nine games that ASU has held the opposition under 50 points. Ibis led ASU and tied her career high with four steals.

Charnea Johnson-Chapman (eight rebounds) and Sophia Elenga (seven rebounds) combined for 15 of ASU's 41 rebounds in helping the Sun Devils end up plus-17 on the boards.

The Sun Devils shot 56 percent in the first quarter and doubled up the Rams, 24-12, after 10 minutes. A 3-pointer by Robbi Ryan and a layup by Ibis was soon followed by a trio of triples by Ekmark that put the Devils up 14-5 a little more than four minutes into the game.

ASU more than doubled CSU's point production in the second and third quarters, outscoring the Rams a combined 34-15 to take a 58-27 lead into the final period.

The Sun Devils, who have won their last five games by an average of 32.2 points, have now won five or more games in a row  26 times since 2001.
