KAILUA KONA, Hawai'i – No. 10 Sun Devil women's golf finished their 2018 fall season Wednesday with the final round of the annual Nanea Pac-12 Preview, featuring arguably the strongest women's golf conference in the nation.
"We did not end the fall the way we wanted," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "But this team has a lot of talent and determination and will be back to compete hard in the spring. We had a solid fall overall and I am pleased with our progress."
Madison Kerley was the top-finishing Sun Devil (T22) with a 1-over 74 on Wednesday. She was also the top golfer from ASU on day two with an even-73.
Alexandra Försterling (T28) and Olivia Mehaffey (T31) finished just inside and just outside the top-30.
The Sun Devils finished ninth overall ahead of No. 11 Washington, Washington State, and Hawai'i. Arizona won the individual team title with co-individual titlists Yu-Sang Hou (Arizona) and Tze-Han Lin (Oregon).
ASU now takes time off from competition until a one-day dual with Denver on Sunday, Jan. 27 at Superstition Mountain in Gold Canyon, Ariz. The spring tournament schedule kicks off the following week at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif. (Feb. 3-5).
