FARGO, N.D. – With 17 competing from No. 6 Sun Devil Wrestling at the 48th Bison Open, 16 of those earned places including seven champions. Four others finished second, one apiece finished third and fourth, and three placed sixth.
No. 6 Ryan Millhof (125), Josiah Kline (133), No. 11 Josh Maruca (149), Christian Pagdilao (157), No. 7 Josh Shields (165), No. 1 Zahid Valencia (174), and No. 17 Kordell Norfleet (184) had straightforward paths to the championship, all finishing first in their respective weight classes.
Josh Kramer (133) and Jacen Petersen (165) each finished second by virtue of falling in the finals match to their teammates. Cory Crooks (141) and No. 5 Tanner Hall (HWT), wrestling unattached, also finished second in their weight classes.
The Sun Devils have their first top-25 dual of the season vs. #16/20 South Dakota State at Sioux Falls' Sanford Pentagon on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 pm CT/12 pm MT. The dual will be streamed live on Flowrestling.org.
