STANFORD, Calif. – After the second round of play at the 2018 Stanford Intercollegiate, No. 8 Arizona State women's golf is in sole possession of sixth place.

The Sun Devils carded an especially good front half with a combined nine birdies, including three apiece for sophomore Raquel Olmos and senior Madison Kerley.

Freshman Alexandra Försterling had another solid round on Saturday, shooting a 1-over 72 and remaining in the top-10 individually (T10).

Kerley joined her in the top-20 (T19) with a 2-under 69, the Sun Devils' best round of the day while junior Olivia Mehaffey shot an even-71 to move just outside the top-25 (T27).

"Madison led our five-shot improvement today with a strong 69," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "We improved in some areas and still have a few things we need to work on. Our play on the front side was very good. I believe this team is ready to go out tomorrow and give it everything they have and I'm excited for tomorrow."

Sunday's third and final round features an 8:30 am PT shotgun start with Arizona State teeing off on holes 4 (Försterling), 5A (Mehaffey), 5B (Kerley), 6A (Sofia Anokhina), and 6B (Raquel Olmos). The Sun Devils will be paired with Washington and Pepperdine.
