It has quickly turned into a two-team race for the championship, as ASU is at 2-over 578 (287-291) and Northwestern is at 6-over 582 (286-296). Marquette is in third at 15-over 591 (289-302).
Junior Alex del Rey has a two-shot lead over Ryan Lumsden (Northwestern) and Thomas Hutchison (UC Davis), as del Rey is at 5-under 139 (69-70). He has nine birdies through two rounds. Lumsden was the co-medalist in 2016 with a 3-under 207.

Both Chun An Yu and Won Jun Lee are missing this event as they are competing in the Asia-Pacific Amateur in Singapore.
