FRANKLIN, Tenn. – After the 15-team field played round two and part of round three Saturday ahead of Sunday's predicted rain, Arizona State women's golf and the other 14 teams attempted to get the remaining half round in the books Sunday but rain kept them off the course.

Due to the weather, what was recorded of round three was deleted and the first two round scores were considered final as the Sun Devils finished second behind host-Vanderbilt, 5-under as a team (279, 292/571).

"It's unfortunate that we couldn't finish the third round," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "Having said that, we are pleased to have finished second this week to start our year. There were a lot of positives that came out of this week so we're headed home to get ready for our next tournament in a week."

Individually, Olivia Mehaffey was the top-finishing Sun Devil in sixth place after shooting a four-under 68 in round one, even in round two (140/-4). Raquel Olmos (T9) earned her second top-10 collegiate finish, shooting a 2-under 142 (69, 73).

In her Sun Devil debut, Sofia Anokhina was 1-under (72, 71/143), finishing T15th while Madison Kerley (T27) rounded out the scoring four. Freshman Alexandra Försterling (T50) also made her collegiate debut.

In just over a week, Arizona State will play their second tournament of the fall, the Windy City Collegiate Championship in the Chicago area Oct. 1-2.
