NAPA, Calif. – After the first round of the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif., Olivia Mehaffey leads the No. 10 Sun Devils in a tie for seventh-place, shooting even par (72) on Sunday.
"Olivia's even par today is a good score on this course," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "The rest of the team struggled a bit. This is the first time we have competed at Silverado and the course is a very good layout with fast greens."
Madison Kerley was the next highest, shooting 6-over on the day amidst the 90-player field.
"We are also having to compete down a player due to Sophia [Zeeb] being out with a sprained ankle," said Farr-Kaye. "However, I know this team will be ready to come back tomorrow and fight hard."
The Devils will tee off Monday between 9:24-9:51 am PT with Wisconsin and Tulane.
