MESA, Ariz. – The No. 8 Arizona State women's golf team started day three of the 2018 Clover Cup in a tie for the top spot and ultimately earned a top-two finish, just two strokes out of the lead, in second behind No. 15 Oklahoma.

Senior Sophia Zeeb led the way for the Sun Devils with her first top-10 finish of the season, finishing third individually (214/-2). Sophomore Olivia Mehaffey and freshman Raquel Olmos were just behind in a tie for sixth (218/+2), which marked Olmos' second-best score of her career and first top-10 career finish.

Madison Kerley matched her highest finish of the season (T18) and best finish in a three-round tournament while Roberta Liti rounded out the Sun Devils' competing five (230/T44/+14).

"This is a tough loss for us today," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "We were leading by seven shots at the turn and we really stumbled coming in across the board. We need to learn from this and move forward to get ready for PING ASU next weekend. I believe in this team and I know we can do better and we will."

ASU hosts their annual PING/ASU Invitational next weekend (Mar. 23-25) at ASU Karsten Golf Course, annually bringing some of the best women's collegiate teams to the Valley. The Sun Devils and Liti won the team and individual title last season.
