CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 12 Arizona State gymnastics team (5-2, 2-1 Pac-12) battled tough, but ultimately fell short to No. 13 Oregon State (3-1, 2-1 Pac-12), 196.725-195.050, Saturday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.

Leading the Gym Devil effort was three-time Pac-12 Freshman/Newcomer of the Week Cairo Leonard-Baker, who finished second in the all-around with an impressive tally of 39.350. Leonard-Baker also captured the bars title while adding a second-place finish on floor. Junior Morgan Wilson followed suit by sharing the vault title with Oregon State's Destinee Davis. 
 
Starting the meet on uneven bars, the Gym Devils earned a solid 49.025. Leonard-Baker led the way with a 9.875, while lone senior Nichelle Christopherson notched a 9.825. Sophomores, Morgan Hart and Ashley Szafranski both notched a pair of 9.800s respectively.
 
Closely following the Beavers in the second rotation, the Gym Devils showed improvement on vault recording a 49.075. The squad was led by Wilson's career-high 9.875. Leonard-Baker tied her career-high of 9.850, while Junior Anne Kuhm added a career-high 9.825.
 
Despite a tough start on floor, the Gym Devils battled back in the rotation to earn a respectable 48.925. The team was led by Leonard-Baker's 9.900, while Kuhm posted a 9.850. Sophomore Jessica Ginn tied her career-high of 9.825.
 
Arizona State closed the outing on beam recording a team cumulative 48.025 . Kuhm led the way with her career-high 9.825, while Leonard-Baker put up a respectable 9.725. Making her second appearance on the season, junior Heather Udowitch posted a season-high 9.725.
 
Up next, the Gym Devils remain on the road, set to face national powerhouse and reigning Pac-12 champions Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. The meet is slated for a 7 p.m. MT start on Friday, Feb. 9 and will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Networks and ESPN 700 radio.
