CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 18 Arizona State women's basketball team had its six-game winning streak snapped on Friday night as No. 22 Oregon State used an 8-2 run in the final four minutes to come out on top, 57-54.

Robbi Ryan led ASU (13-4, 4-1 Pac-12) with a career-high-tying 19 points. Kianna Ibis had seven points while Courtney EkmarkCharnea Johnson-Chapman and Sophia Elenga had six points each for the Sun Devils, who led the game for more than 26 minutes.

Marie Gulich (20 points) and Mikayla Pivec (12 points) combined for 32 points for the Beavers (12-4, 3-2 Pac-12), who shot 54 percent and outrebounded ASU 36-28.

Ryan (8-15) and Elenga (3-6) were the only Sun Devils to shoot 50 percent or better as the rest of the team managed to connect on only 26 percent of its attempts.

Although the Beavers made more than half of their shots, they found little success from long range where the Sun Devils allowed them only one make for the entire game (1-7). The Sun Devils also forced the Beavers into 13 miscues which they converted into 10 points of their own.

The Sun Devils led by as many as nine twice in the first half. The Beavers would get within two points at the half but were not able to take the lead until Katie McWilliams' jumper early in the fourth quarter put Oregon State on top 47-46.

After Ryan's 3-pointer, which put the Sun Devils back up by two, a period of almost 2:30 would follow in which neither team could score a point.

Pivec would tie the game at 49-49, but the Sun Devils would once again respond as Reili Richardson drained a 3-pointer to give ASU a 52-49 lead with just over four minutes left.

The Beavers would answer by scoring five of the next six points to reclaim the lead, 54-53, after Pivec's 3-point play with 3:10 left.

After a free throw by Ryan tied the game at 54-54, Gulich gave the Beavers the lead for good after a layup with 40 seconds remaining. Both of the Sun Devils' attempts to tie the game in the final 26 seconds missed their mark, giving the Beavers the win.

For ASU, it was a disappointing end to the game as it was looked early on like it would snap a five-game losing streak to the the Beavers.

Ryan and Johnson-Chapman scored four points each to help give ASU a 12-10 lead after one quarter.

A 7-2 run to start the second quarter capped by Ibis' 3-pointer gave the Sun Devils a 19-12 lead. A little more than two minutes later they pushed the lead to nine after Johnson-Chapman's layup with 4:33 left in the half.

Ryan, who scored eight points in the second quarter, gave ASU a seven-point cushion after hitting a jumper with just over a minute left in the half. The Beavers would score five points in the final 53 seconds, including a 3-pointer seconds before the buzzer that quickly cut ASU's lead to only two at the break.

The Sun Devils conclude their road trip to Oregon on Sunday (5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. MT) when they take on eighth-ranked Oregon. The game can be seen on Pac-12 Network/Arizona/Oregon and heard on NBC Sports Radio AM 1060.
