TEMPE, Ariz. – After months of preparation, race week has arrived as Sun Devil triathlon will host the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship on Sunday, Nov. 5 at Tempe Town Lake.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
7 a.m. – Ignite the Fork age group triathlon
9:30 a.m. – Ignite the Fork triathlon awards
10:30 a.m. – USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship begins
Approx 1 p.m. – USAT Collegiate NC awards at Tempe Mission Palms
DEFENDING THE TITLE
In 2016 in New Orleans, the Sun Devils won the USAT Collegiate National Championship in the team's first year of existence with four top-10 finishes and all five competitors finishing in the top-15.
Katie Gorczyca (2nd), Amy Darlington (5th), Charlotte Ahrens (7th), Sarah Quintero (9th), and Delaney Bucker (14th) brought home the title for ASU.

PRE-RACE EXPO
Fans, supporters, and participants are invited to a pre-race expo at the Tempe Mission Palms on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 11-4 p.m. There will be vendors present and giveaways for attendees.
IGNITE THE FORK REGISTRATION CLOSES 11/2
The inaugural Ignite the Fork age group draft legal triathlon will take place prior to the collegiate race at 7 a.m. Sunday morning.

Please be aware of traffic closures in the area. Parking will be available on the south side of the lake at:
Parking Garage on Rio Salado/Ash
111 W Rio Salado Parkway
Tempe, AZ 85281
Exit the garage and walk to Rio Salado Parkway. Take a right heading east then turn left onto Mill Avenue Bridge. Once you walk over the Mill Avenue Bridge, you can walk down to the venue located on the north side of the lake between the Mill Avenue Bridge and the pedestrian bridge. Stay on the sidewalk on the Mill Avenue Bridge due to bike traffic on the roads.
THE COURSE
The race will begin with a beach start on the north side of Tempe Town Lake and a 750m swim, followed by a 20km bike, and ending with a 5k run. The maps below show the course for each of the three legs, including the finish following the run portion.
