KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – There are four Sun Devils hitting the road for the Volunteer State this weekend for the Tennessee invitational in what will be the quartet's first taste of team competition in just over a month.

While ASU has been in action in October, Kelley Anderson has produced most of the results having competed at the ITA All-American and ITA Southwest Regional Championships in the past two weeks.

Anderson will sit out the trip to Knoxville, but fellow senior and doubles partner Nicole Fossa Huergo returns to the hardcourt.

Fossa Huergo has posted a 2-2 record this fall in singles play, with one loss coming from a woman ranked in the top-125 and a win over a top-125 opponent as well.

Savannah Slaysman will look to get back in the win column after dropping three of four in Fort Worth a month ago. The sophomore soared in doubles play, however, with true freshman Tereza Kolarova at the same tournament.

The duo won three of its four matches, with the sole loss coming to the No. 34 doubles tandem in the NCAA. Slaysman and Kolarova also managed to take down the No. 8 doubles team in the country, 6-1, on their way to a blazing 3-0 start to the fall.

True freshman Sasa Klanecek won two of her four singles matches in Texas. Both wins were hard-fought three-set battles, and in her win over Nina Sorkin from Virginia Tech, Klanecek rebounded from a 2-6 first-set loss to take the match 2-6, 6-2, 12-10.

England international Lauryn John-Baptiste is the fourth Sun Devil heading east this weekend.

John-Baptiste is 2-1 on the season with two straight-set victories over women from Virginia Tech and Texas Tech.

The Tennessee Fall Invitational gets started Friday morning. ASU takes to the courts at 11 a.m. PT against women from No. 3 Ohio State in doubles and tournament host Tennessee in singles play at noon.

Day two opens for the Devils against Tennessee in doubles play at 10 a.m., then ASU and the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest match up for singles at 11.

The Devils face Ohio State at 6 a.m. PT for singles play, then ASU and Wake forest meet up again for doubles at 9 a.m., on Sunday.
