KAILUA-KONA, Hawai'i – Playing two rounds on the first day of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview at the prestigious and exclusive Nanea Golf Club, No. 4/5 Sun Devil women's golf ended the day on a higher note, improving upon their first-round score by 15 strokes.

Sophomore Olivia Mehaffey is the top Sun Devil with two rounds in the books, in a four-way tie for 11th, shooting an even-par 73 in round one and 74 in the second.

Senior Sophia Zeeb makes her season debut as part of ASU's team scoring (T19) while Raquel Olmos Ros is in a six-way tie for 25th.

"We didn't put forth our best effort this morning," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "We looked a little flat and tentative, which is unusual for us. I felt our entire lineup did a much better job in the afternoon round. We're looking forward to the opportunity to compete tomorrow with a solid game plan and resilience."

After two rounds, ASU sits in sixth place (+15) while No. 2 UCLA (-20) and Stanford (-9) hold the top two spots. USC's golfers are all competing as individuals, which moves all teams outside the top two up one spot from what Golfstat scoring lists.

Tuesday's final round will feature a 7:30 am Hawai'i time/10:30 am Arizona time shotgun start. ASU will tee off with Washington, Washington State, and Arizona with Mehaffey, Zeeb, Olmos Ros, Madison Kerley, and Roberta Liti teeing off on holes 6-10.
