The @SunDevilMTennis team will have four players competing this weekend at the 2017 ITA Southwest Regional Championship held in Malibu at both the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center and the Crest Tennis Courts Oct. 19-23.
Michael Geerts is seeded 11th in singles while the doubles team of Benjamin Hannestad/Tim Ruehl is the top seed.
In singles action in the round of 64, Geerts will take on the winner of Jan Kirchoff (SD State)/Daly Meinert (Cal Poly SLO), Hannestad meets the winner of Luca Marquard (UC Irvine)/Freddie Grant (Grand Canyon) and Tim Ruehl will face the winner of Maxwell Mendelsohn (Pepperdine)/Lucas Bellamy (UCLA).
William Kirkman will face Mathieu Rajanoh of Grand Canyon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the opening round.
On Thursday Hannestad/Ruehl will face the winner of Cal Poly SLO/Pepperdine in a round of 32 match at 9:45 a.m. while Geerts/Kirkman faces Nico Borter/Guilherme Osorio of San Diego at 9 a.m.
