FRANKLIN, Tenn. – With 4-5 holes remaining, No. 4 Arizona State women's golf held the top spot, surpassed late by Arkansas (273/-15) and host-Vanderbilt (275/-13), and are currently in third place in the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship standings following an 11-under 277 as a team on day one.

"We had a very solid day one today," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "Anytime you get to throw out an even par round, it's a good day. That being said, we know we left some shots out there. Our team competed well and we are looking forward to tomorrow."

All five Sun Devils shot par or below led by junior Linnea Strom (67) and sophomore Olivia Mehaffey (68) who sit in a tie for third and a tie for sixth place, respectively, after day one. Each of their scores were just two strokes over their respective career lows from last season.

Junior Madison Kerley also had a strong first outing of the season, shooting a 2-under 70, and is currently just outside the top-10 (T12), while freshman Raquel Olmos Ros and senior Roberta Liti each shot a 72.

With the other top-three teams, the Sun Devils slide to a later tee time on Saturday, teeing off between 10:10-10:50 am CT (8:10-8:50 am PT).
