QUICK KICKS...

•  This past weekend, the Sun Devils competed in the 2017 University of Arizona Tournament where they posted a 1-1 record on the weekend. On Friday, ASU battled Texas Tech, but came up just short, falling by a score of 2-1. The resilient Devils would, however, bounce back with a, 2-1,  win Sunday over Florida Gulf Coast.

•  The weekend matches gives the Sun Devils an opportunity to bolster their head-to-head records against both the Rainbow Wahine and the Wildcats. ASU enters the Friday titlt against Hawaii boasting a perfect 2-0 record that has seen the Sun Devils outscore the Wahine 9-2. On Sunday, the Sun Devils will look to pull ahead of the Wildcats in the all-time series, as the teams enter the weekend with a 1-1 split in previous meetings. ASU last met Weber State in 2005 where the maroon and gold picked up a decisive, 4-0, home win.

• In order to be the best, you have got to play the best, and Arizona State has done just that. Entering the weekend, ASU's last six opponents have combined to post a .611 winning percentage, a mark that ranks No. 52 in the nation. Things won't get any easier for the Sun Devils who still have 13 matches reaming in 2017 against competition that has combined for a .674 win percentage, a mark that checks in at No. 49 nationally.

•  Academic success has become a staple in the Sun Devil soccer culture. Since 2007 the Sun Devil soccer program leads the conference in the number of first-team awards (26) and the number of first- and second-team awards (42).

• Arizona State has proven this season they are willing to go the extra mile. In three of their six matches played this season, the Sun Devils have found themselves playing in extra time, including one game going a full 110 minutes. In total, the Sun Devils have played 37 minuets of overtime soccer in 2017.
