The @SunDevilHoops program will have trips to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Kansas on its non-conference schedule next season, as the tentative schedule is set for 2017-18 season. ASU is scheduled to play teams from Big East (St. John's), Big 12 (Kansas) and SEC (Vanderbilt), with a pair of games against Kansas State, Xavier or George Washington set for Las Vegas.
Most of the dates will remain the same, as there could be small changes for television, but Sun Devil fans can expect the season to open on Friday, Nov. 10 vs. Idaho State. Top Tempe dates are a matchup against San Diego State in the second game of the year, Northern Arizona making the trip to Tempe on Nov. 17 as part of the Continental Tire Invitational and a matchup with 2017 NCAA Tournament team and SEC member Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt will be just the second SEC team to visit Wells Fargo Arena in past 23 seasons. ASU thumped No. 18 Texas A&M 67-54 on Dec. 5, 2015, but prior to that tilt the last SEC program to visit Tempe was Vanderbilt on Dec. 29, 1994.
