ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Future Sun Devil diver Sarah Bathe has received the Missouri High School Scholar-Athlete Award for St. Charles High School among all students competing in 12 interscholastic sports at SCHS.

Additionally, Bathe was named Outstanding Female Science Student at St. Charles High by the American Association of University Women, as well as receiving the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award by The Board of Education of the School District of the City of St. Charles.

The National Honor Society president is also part of the Renaissance Steering Committee, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering organization.

"I want to qualify for the NCAA Championships all four years, and in that time, I hope to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Trials for a shot to be on the Tokyo Olympic team," says Bathe. "Academically, I want to get my B.S. degree and get into vet school, to graduate with a D.V.M. and become a vet."

A three-sport athlete (diving, cross country, track and field), Bathe has qualified for state championships all four years in diving and two times in cross country. She earned AAU All-American status in 2016 for diving.

Next season, Bathe joins one of the strongest groups of ASU women's divers, according to head coach Mark Bradshaw, including current Sun Devils Mara Aiacoboae and Rebecca Deacon and fellow incomers Ashley McCool and Frida Kaellgren.
