Eugene, Ore. -- The 21st- ranked Arizona State softball team dropped their first of three games at No. 3 Oregon, 4-0, Friday evening at Jane Sanders Stadium.
Junior Breeana Macha mde the start for the Sun Devils in the circle, throwing seven innings in the loss. Macha allowed just one walk in her 16th appearance this season, marking the 12th game this season the Mesa, Ariz., native allowed less than two walks in a game.
Following a scoreless first, the Ducks plated a pair of runs on two hits in the second to take the lead early.
The Ducks would not stop there, adding a run in both the fifth and sixth inning to cap their 4-0 win, and increase their unbeaten streak to 31 games.
In the second inning of Friday's game, senior Chelsea Gonzales rocketed a double down the left field line, marking her 187th career-hit, moving her into a tie for 21st- all time in career-hits as a Sun Devil.
